What transaction fees does Castiron charge?

Castiron only makes money when you make money. We offer a flexible fee structure, where you have the option to absorb the 10% convenience fee yourself or pass it on to your customer (which we recommend). This fee allows us to continuously improve Castiron and add new features to make your life easier. This fee is separate from Stripe’s 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction payment processing fee. We share an in-depth breakdown of our fees here.

How will I get paid by Castiron?

We use Stripe's payment processing infrastructure to accept payments and ensure timely payouts to your bank account. Stripe will transfer money directly to your bank account.

Am I allowed to sell my food products online?

Please review your state and municipality’s cottage food rules and regulations to determine whether you are able to sell your products online.

Does Castiron deliver food for me?

No. Castiron is the engine that will drive your online store, but you’ll be responsible for all order fulfillment, whether that’s pickup, delivery or shipping.

How do I get started?

Does Castiron connect to Venmo or PayPal for manual payments?

Today, all transactions on Castiron are powered by Stripe. We’re always exploring new ways to facilitate transactions, so keep an eye out for future additions!

Castiron is live in the U.S. today. We look forward to expanding our platform soon!
